I have an XP home edition that I want to set up as a virtual VPN server, but I can't turn on the Routing and Remote Access service. I entered the Administrative tools>Services>right click Routing and Remote Access>properties>start service>error.

Can someone who knows how to do this help me? And don't just send me a bunch of links, real answers please. I have spent some time on this and I can't figure it out.

If you're talking about Remote Desktop, XP Home doesn't allow you to set this up, only XP Pro does. You can connect to other computers using Remote Desktop, but you can't allow others to connect to yours.
