We are spoiled and want everything instantly: coffee, dinner, answers, travel. Why not solutions to an argument? And, maybe, just maybe, if the Athiests didn't get their way, people with a tendency towards violence might remember there are 10 Commandments and paybacks sure to come after the pronunciation of death.

We could also use a little John Lennon right now.

The violence is starting at home and at school. There is so much violence in our society...women being beat by their husbands/boyfriends, TV, gangs....the list goes on and on.

Why does it seem that when we decided that spanking was wrong children started acting out more and more? When you hold people accountable for their actions and make them responsible...with consequences that actually MEAN something they change....usually for the better.

When jails become actually become punishment, when death row actually means DEATH not 30 yrs of appeals, when the court system actually starts throwing out stupid law suits and making people/corporations accountable for their misdeeds, when schools quit being stupid and punish kids for misbehaving not hugging....then violence might lessen.

Until then all we can do is try to make our own little corners of the world better places to be by being the best parents and community members we can be. Being involved in the community and our children's lives we can change things....one street, one neighborhood, one town, one city at a time.

Too much violence, coz its a cultural thing. In the US, when you are 15+, kids are hanging round the streets, causing trouble. In Europe at that age, the kids are haveing a few cheeky bevvies down the park and trying to get laid. Some people are lovers, some are fighters!!

I think that we are a society that wants what we want when we want it. Often times the diplomatic way of handling things does not work, therefore we get anxious and the quickest way to handle it under pressure is to act out in violence

I can answer that. Since the USA is the last bastion of freedom and truth, Satan wants to see it fall (by using the Demorats to disarm it so the Islamist terrorists can sweep in). So, he pollutes the minds of the weak (Demorats) who believe his lies and have no sense of sanctity for life (i.e. abortion), so they feel no wrong about taking one.
