Good questions!

You just stopped taking the pill 16 days ago. By my calculations, you should not be due for your period yet, and thus you are not late and probably are not pregnant. However, if you didn't get a period after you took the last Pill (like you normally would between Pill packs), then you might be pregnant and should test.

While many women do take months for their fertility to return after stopping the Pill, many women find that they are actually MORE fertile the month after they stop taking the Pill. It really varies from woman to woman, and if you really want to know what is going on with your body, I highly recommend taking your temperature and monitoring your fertility signs. You can read more about how to do this at http://www.fertilityfriend.com, and they actually offer free online charting software as well. This will help you get a handle on whether you're ovulating yet and will help you decide your next course of action as you and your husband embark on the crazy TTC journey.

Also, there is no reason to avoid getting pregnant right after stopping the Pill. There is nothing wrong with your eggs or your body and the actual birth control hormones clear your body within a few days of stopping the Pill (which is why it's important to take your Pills every day and not skip around). So, try try try to your heart's content - just realize that it sometimes takes quite a while for your fertility to return to normal after stopping the Pill (and that for some others it returns immediately). It varies widely from woman to woman. We're all beautiful individuals!

Good luck and baby dust!

Hi Honey. You have asked some very good questions.
First of all I do not think that you are pregnant. It would be very unlikely for you to get pregnant so soon after you discontinued the pills. It will take some time for your body to get back to normal. Your periods may be erratic for awhile and it will be very hard to know when you are ovulating.
In a normal cycle you will ovulate half way between the first day of your period and the first day of the one you are expecting next. Obviously this will be really hard to pinpoint unless your periods are regular and you can know with some accuracy when you are going to have your periods.
There are some other symptoms of ovulation that you can watch for and this might give you some idea of when you are ovulating. Still the best way is to predict the time by the days of your cycle.
Enjoy this time in your life and just enjoy making love with your husband ( or lover). You will get pregnant when the time is right. I know it is hard when you are excited and wanting to be pregnant. I do so well remember that feeling!
Take care of yourself and be healthy so that you are ready for the demands that pregnancy puts on you. Start eating nutritious foods and make sure you are as healthy as you can be. Good luck!
Love and Blessings

I dont think it matters, when you get pregnant. Some women get off B/C and wont have a period for months, up to 6 for some. Some conceive right away, like my sister (two months later). It all depends on your body, and how it reacts to being off B/C. I, myself went off B/C in July, and am pregnant in Oct. My periods became VERY normal, but I was normal to begin with (pre b/c pills). There is no physical evidence that B/C pills cause any birth defects or needs "flushing out" of your system before getting pregnant, because I know plent of friends, family members who have had children right after getting off birth control. Good luck.

if you took pill for long time maybe the first 3-4 month after stopping you have irrigular period or maybe you have no ovultation caz of the permanent effect of pills, so now you can do test to be sure you are pregnant or not.. and if you are not don't worry becaz all the women normally must try to be conceived about 6-12 months ....good luck

I have simply stated a small prayer for you 2, for what it is valued at. I do not need direct revel in with this, so please take my reply as a bet. **I would be incorrect.** With the genders reversed, this question quite very similar to a few others - He does not care approximately me; he is handiest affectionate whilst he wishes to "get" intercourse In your case, even as I'm definite it isn't precise, would or not it's that your husband subconsciously is feeling that you do not care approximately him, however are simply seeking to "get" a little one? Maybe it might aid to construct your courting at the days whilst you are no longer ovulating, and intercourse would not be a attention? Not that you simply must spend each waking second in combination, however when you had a shared curiosity, it would aid. My spouse and I like to look at "Heroes," on TV for illustration. We would get it on the net each time, however make a few microwave popcorn or anything and snuggle at the sofa to look at it continue to exist Monday nights. I feel practically any marriage could have "responsibility" that's no longer amusing. I do not relatively like loading the dishwasher and wiping the range, however do it considering it's for my spouse. I think that being below stress to conceive no longer principally romantic regularly, but when your husband can view it as a task that is predominant, a minimum of the bodily side gets performed.

It is entirely possible but I would say the delayed period is more likely due to the change in hormones from the pill being stopped.
