Please oh PLEASE don't try the "artsy-craftsy" theme with a child.

He will be an adult some day and has to put his name on a resume. Trying to be "original" is fine, but often the person is doomed before he has a chance. I guess Moon Unit and Dweezil Zappa survived but their dad Frank was already well known and opened doors for them.
As far as the choices I like Tate, but I'm sure he'll be called Tater-head or such growing up. Tylan? What is that? Looks like it was misspelled. Tariq? Out there....

I think Tariq Matthew sounds very nice, with Tate Matthew coming in second.
