I am a British / Filipino and i bring Filipinos over here to the U.K. Unfortunatly many Filipinos come here on visitors visas and stay here illegally. The Filipino community look after their own and you will not find a Filipino sleeping rough on the streets or scrounging handouts from the government, but still the Government persecute us.

The reason is that you generally abuse the system, even though the government welcomes you. If foreign nationals in this country were treated with the same respect we give you in England, then there'd be a hell of a lot more investment and business.
What none of you filipinos seems to realise is that the Western world keeps your country alive with billions of dollars in aid and by helping your expats find jobs and live outside the Philippines. I love it here, but I can't tell you how many times I've heard that stupid expression, 'if you don't like it then go back to your country', directed at foreigners,( and we're not effing aliens!).
If you want this place to get better, then encourage and help foreigners and investment and stop bad mouthing the countries that keep you alive!
If you want to dig deeper, you'll probably find that the Philippines owes England enough money to buy Palawan, Mindoro and ******, and the USA probably owns Luzon. Think about it and grow up.

I am Filipino and I have visited once last year. I have many Filipino friends visited in UK many times. Have you applied for a visitors visa? One requirements is you should have at least 1,000pounds=Php100,000 on your bank account. Good luck.

Probably because there are a lot of overstaying Filipinos in UK. Yes not Filipinos are bad but one of their generic trait is to easily adapt to new environment.

Its collective punishment for past abuses of the system, however I understand the UK government has recently relaxed the requirements for Filipinos obtaining tourist visas.
