I am looking for a natural non toxic home bug killer. I got those terrible razor sharp leg crickets that are always hopping at you. There all over my room. how do I get rid of them. What is the safest insecticide that I can use or that you have used around your home. I am talking non toxic to pet and humans.

The first thing you have to do is stop them from coming in. Gets some tubes of caulk and a caulk gun and go over the outside of you house (the wall where the room is) and seal any cracks or holes. It's difficult but it will stop other peats too, like asian ladybugs, spiders, etc.

Most of the clean nontoxic stuff is contact chemicals--like neem oil, horticultural oil, insecticidal soap. These all work by coating the insect and they suffocate. You probably can't use these since the crickets are all over.

You can try diatomaceous earth although when the crickets are dead the D.E. is difficult to sweep up.

Maybe you just want to seal your home with caulk and wait for those inside to die of dehydration. Takes 2-3 days.

If you can't wait for these passive methods you can get bug bombs that will kill the winthin an hour or two. If used according to instructions the are deemed safe by the US Environmental Protection Agency.
