I'm trying to put a file onto freewebs but I can't put a file more than 750 KB on it so I was wondering if I can get a converter that will convert it down to size.

Archieve it using winzip or winrar or split the file into smaller parts that are less than the size you mentioned and then upload them. There are file splitter programmes available that allow one to split files into smaller parts then merge them back together into the original file

i might advise .rar. mutually as .7z data ought to grow to be basically somewhat smaller, this is a hardly used format, and not extensively supported. .rar data are between the final compressed formats (in case you placed the compression point intense sufficient), and a properly-widespread format besides. in spite of the undeniable fact that, please undergo in concepts that the extra desirable the compression, the longer it takes to unpack. a 2GB source compressed with the optimal point might take up an hour or 2 to unpack, even on intense-end pcs.

It depends on the type of data in the file. JPEG is a good compression for graphics, OGG or MP3 are good for sound, TAR and ZIP are good for most others.
