it sounds like your baby is in the head down position. it is now putting more pressure on your pelvis and lower back. the muscles are strectching and relaxing to prepare for your babys birth. as long as you can feel the baby moving don't worry. even though the baby is probaly in the head down position you may or may not still carry to or even beyond 40 weeks. hang in there, i symphathize with you i'm 36 weeks

Your baby is just moving its head down to the birthing position. It's a good thing, even though it might be painful sometimes. I got those sharp pains too for a few weeks before my baby was born and so did another friend of mine. So, I think those stabbing pains are normal. We both turned out with healthy babies. Congrats!

yes and no, the baby moving into your pelvis means that it is getting ready to be born, the sharp pains in your vagina could be the muscles stretching and the cervix effacing getting ready for the birth

Your baby is probably getting ready for that big day. I also have those pains. If your doctor has not checked you for dilation, ask him or her to at your next appointment. You may be dilating because of the baby moving down so low. Sounds like things are moving along for you, Good luck!

Probably not. If you're really concerned, call your OB immediately.
My guess (after having 3 kids) is that Baby is getting itself all set for its grand appearance. What you're feeling might be Baby hitting a nerve or other sensitive spot. I know with #1, he liked to head-butt me in the bladder during my last few weeks.
Good luck to you & best wishes!!

Yes, baby's getting ready to be born. Could still be a matter of weeks yet though, I started to have those pains with my son when I was about 37weeks and he was born at 41 weeks.
Good luck. :)

Yes that is a possibility... Are you experiencing contractions? If yes, it is also a sign that you are entering labor. Good Luck too you.
I am 36 weeks and I just lost my mucus plug yesterday, so that means that I may go into labor within a week or two. I might even go into labor today tomorrow who knows...
