I feel Kerry's statements on the lack of intelligence of our troops was insulting?

That was the FASTEST flip-flop I have ever seen him do though. I think he'd better go ask his wife for some ketchup so he can put it on yet another slew of words he has to eat. You see the insurgency picking up before the elections, but you don't hear people crying conspiracy over that? What's happened here lately? You know, I talked to a regularly voting Dem yesterday at a store in line, and she told me that she really does feel National Security is an issue, and that she is not going to tell her husband, who's family is IN politics (Democratic), but she's voting mostly Republican candidates because of the National Security issues. She put it like this.....If we invaded Iraq for oil, why did Saddam Hussein invade Kuwait? Nonetheless, like she said and I agreed with, I believe we will be a presence in Iraq, regardless of who is in whatever office, but the difference in where the money is allocated may be a very big concern.

I am sorry Mr. Kotter, my question is, do you feel people really ARE aware of why we are in Iraq? And also, you could add a DO YOU? after my first topical sentence. Master FUFU, I knew a poodle named FiFi once.

Kerry`s statements just prove the how the Democrats are uninformed and have true contempt for the Military.

1.The Military is better educated than the general population.
2.The Military is all volunteer.
3. One can not join without a minimum of a high school degree.
4. 73.3 percent of the Enlisted Military have some college, 16.2 percent have an associate’s degree or equivalent semester hours, and 4.7 have a bachelor’s degree. 85 percent of officers have advanced degrees – 70.7 percent have master’s degrees, 12.1 percent have professional degrees and 2.5 percent have doctorate degrees.
5. Dropouts can not get in the Military. They have to go to Mc Donalds.
6. Bush out performed with better grades Kerry in the same school and Bush went further.
7. There is no draft that takes underachieving kids out of school and sends them to war, that was the Vietnam war.
8. Kerry was talking to students about education.

So Kerry`s joke doesn`t fit and he was stating what he believed about a Military he has contempt for. The "Joke" was damage control for the gullible.

I feel Kerry is not even running for anything Right now so why do you have all these things to say about elected officials when he is not running? I think this is still American and the man can say anything he wants to at least he wasn't trying to have sex with children or lying to the American people so he could put them in a war where at least 2800would die. lets let the military let us know what they think and get the real menace out of the White House

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING surprises me anymore concerning Hanoi Kerry and the far left! Flip flop is his modus operandi, I don't expect any more or less from the likes of him and his ilk.Kerry's wife in the past had fund rasing dinners where the proceeds went to Hamas! Yes. He may not have meant for it to come across the way it did but he owes the men in women in the service an apology. His choice of words clearly insulted many if not most troops.

They tried the same thing with Hillary back when. Misrepresenting a statement and then demanding that the other side defend the misrepresentation is the classic "straw man" argument. Most people can see through it, but some cannot, sadly.

Who really cares about the troops? The man who screwed up a Bush joke or the guy who has sent 3000 of them to die in a quagmire?

Because Iraq invaded Kuwait for oil, it is OK for US to invade Iraq for oil? Perhaps if US didn't impose its will on foreign countries, there wouldn't be National Security issues.

Kerry is stating what he has from the begining. Statements that are aimed toward the president, not troops and their intelligence. I see that many of the answers say the same thing i am, and they all get thumbs down...why is that?
