Google Images and other sites use frame to display other websites (within their own site). Are there any copyright laws for things like this? Do I need to be careful using frames to display other websites?

Yes there are copyright laws. If you take something that is not freeware, you are violating someones copyright.

The first site explains the laws in a way that is easy to read.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the site/sites you will find a copyright date.

-If you are not allow to use this information it will be stated.
- If the site does not site does not state that you are not allow to use the information,...
--as assume that you are not.
- If you can you are allowed to contact the site and ask permission to use any of there items/ writings.

As far as I know there ain't any copyright laws at all, as long as there is a link in the frame saying to view this site "fully" (without the frame) then its ok. :)
