Meat Loaf. I know he's done alot of work in the past, but his new cd came out yesterday so I'd say he's pretty recent. It's called Bat out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose (the 3rd installment to the Bat out of Hell Trilogy) He's an amazing vocalist; and Jim Steinman, his songwriter, is also equally amazing.

Robert Plant. He is still an amazing vocalist and his ability to mold and shape music and take it to other levels is outstanding. His evolution as a singer/songwriter appears to be ongoing and I am always impressed with each new project.
