Hi,
I can help you answer this question real easy due to the fact that my 3 kids' have a father and a Daddy.
You see, I have been divorced for 8 years now and the father of my kids never kept in touch with them and never did anything for them while they were growing up..I was strictly the sole provider for my kids'.
Well 6 months after my divorce was final, I met a man who became my kids' Daddy in no time at all. (we are still together but not married yet)
This man took my kids' to places that their own father would never take them to.
This man talked to my kids' when there was a problem and the kids' felt they couldn't talk to me.
This man drove the kids' to school when they missed the bus for some reason.
I think you get the idea of where i'm coming from now, so to answer your question...
A father is just someone who helped to "make" the kids but was never around to help you raise the kids'.
A Daddy is someone who is always there for the kids' no matter what!!

The difference between a father and a dad is: a father is the man who holds part of the responsibility for your birth, a dad is the man that takes care of you and loves and spends time with you.

Any boy/man can become a father. All he has to do is stick his penis into a girl and get her pregnant. A dad is someone who spends time with his kid, and tell his child his experiences so his child can have better life, one who admits his mistakes and talks about right and wrong. A dad is a man who does not think money will solve all of his child's problems, he is a dad when he takes time to spend a day, a hour, time with a person he's helped make.

A father is a man who has a child. A dad is a man who loves, takes care of, and is always there for his kid. Huge difference there. Any man can be a father...it takes someone special to be "DAD"

A father is someone who helped to create you. Any man can do this. Now, a dad, a dad is a very special person. A dad is there to take you to doctor appointments, sneak you ice cream when your mom says no, make you laugh, and ultimately be the provider and a hero to you. A dad is the prototype for your future husband and son(s)

I think that a dad is more like a friend and the one alter ego of the father. A father is someone who is strict.
