My answer is NO. There is no amount of knowledge that is too much. Knowing never hurt anyone, but no knowing could keep you at the bottom of the heap.
The only thing that I could think of that maybe we should leave alone is exploring deeper and deeper into outer space. I'm one hundred percent in favor of the knowledge, but the knowledge gained must be balanced against the expense of gaining that knowledge.

Great question! I can't wait to see the answers. I believe there is. Only someone who believes in God can believe there is knowledge we should not seek. It has to be knowledge of the spiritual world.

I would say yes and no at the same, because some knowlegde is just a path of irrelevance, while some is of value to self and mind. It actually depend on self interest, know as much as can but again too much of everything kills...... Seek knowlegde that will eventuall be of use in life, and avoid knowing what might destruct your self worth.

The idea that knowledge can somehow be dangerous is a cute excuse to be intellectually lazy. Omniscience is one of the defining characteristics of many of the world's gods. Who doesn't want to be closer to their gods?
Also, the name is Mephistopheles. How did you think I was going to answer the question?

There is no knowledge we should not seek. Seeking is why we are here and what distinguishes us from other species.

Yes, some things are better left alone. Whether it is something really big or something really small, some knowledge should be left unlearned.

Most definitely. Are not there some times in your life when you would just rather not know the "why's or where's"? Are not there times when you just inherently feel that something is "wrong"? That is your instinct telling you to "leave it alone". Ever hear of Pandora's Box?
