My niece stopped by last night and we were talking about this very subject. She said that he was pursuing his acting career in movies, etc. and even trying directing. I MISS HIM, too. It's NOT the same now.

Seven years. On October 15, 1999, Jason Cook debuted in the role of Shawn-Douglas Brady. Shawn had been away at boarding school and decided to return to Salem. Through the years, Shawn went through a lot of changes; he certainly settled down a lot from the tattooed punk who showed up at the Brady Pub. He's had two relationships (Belle and Mimi) and, it turns out, fathered a child. All of this has allowed Jason Cook to certainly learn a lot as an actor and to grow up, himself. He's grown so much he's decided to test his wings outside of Salem. His last day was quite emotional as he wished goodbye to his fellow cast members and the hard-working crew. I miss the old shawn too he was way better than this guy but I read in soap opera digest that he wasn't happy with the way the soap was going they had a writer that he didnt like and he felt the writer was ruining salem and he wanted out I might still have the magazine. I'll look for it

Sammy and Lucas Austin and doubtless carrie..perhaps a sparkling extra helpful female, i'm bored stiff in seeing him injury each and all of the time Sean and Belle Phillip and mimi do no longer want bo and wish in spite of the reality which you know they are going to end mutually.. I propose it incredibly is BO AND wish.. i'm in basic terms bored of them. i want Carrie to sleep with Austin and miraculously get pregnant. ANd sammi finally end up pregnant with out thought who it incredibly is. Shawn and Belle? 2 babies already? I propose how previous are they meant to be? And no person works? everybody is often on the well being center.. permit's get a existence right here. circulate to artwork!!! Sean and MIMI are no longer wealthy like Belle and Phillip.

Jason Cook (Shawn Brady) decided not to renew his contract to pursue other opportunities (he wants to direct).

He quit he didnt want to be on the show anymore i read about it ...he sayed he was getting bored so he quit...=(
