Gods honest truth- When I was in the Navy I was forced to work 96 hour days. That's 96 hours without sleep! 4 days! The first 24 hours is tough- after that it gets a little easier for the next 24, but after that I experienced extreme tiredness followed by acute awarness, but by the end of 96 hours I was just mindless drivel on auto pilot. I can think of at least two occasions when I worked 96 hour days, numerous 72 hour days, and tons of 48 hour days.
In one week I quit counting hours worked after I passed the 120 hour mark. That is real work in real time. Never again though.

Very good question....takes me back to my retail days doing inventory....anyways I have been known to last quit some time without sleeping....38 hours was my longest spurt and I was fueled by Mountain Dew and Red Bull too.....always active and keeping bust during the duration to stay up....have to admit my senses weren't as acute towards the end but I was able to maintain a good pace!! I actually have worked several shifts of 24-36 hours before as well so I was conditioned for lasting power!! I don't recommend weak or ill people to even try this!! Im glad I dont have to do this crap anymore though.....even with overtime pay etc....it wasnt worth it!!!

I once went about 84 hours (3 1/2 days) without sleeping, and then I only needed about 4, maybe 5 hours of sleep to refresh myself. I've never actually tried to test my self to see how long I could go.

Because of the shift I work, I typically am up around 36 hours straight at least once a week. I hate it, but as long as I keep moving I can deal with it...I'd rather sleep though...

I've stayed awake for about three or four days before. But if you mean to literally stand on my feet while awake....then I stood an inspection once that lasted 16 hours.

I once went 48 hours without sleep! I don't know if I can do that again, though.
