Troubled teens need an artistic outlet. I used to work for an organization called Girls Inc. We started Teen Thought Theater Troupe where the teens (boys and girls) would write skits about the pressures in their everyday lives and how to make the right decisions. They would then perform them at local schools. It was amazing!
You can also have the teens write short stories, journals/diaries, painting, or even set up a special graffetti wall where they can spray paint non-threatening messages.
It is also good to have physical activities available to help get aggresion out. You can have basketball games, dancing, flag football, soccer, etc. Just keep them busy and keep it fun!

A good activity for a troubled teen is helping with special needs children. This helps them focus on the needs of others and not be focused on themselves.
