My wife uses it religiously daily, and insists on the need for separate goop chemical for armpits. I insist that my Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Castile Soap, scrupulously applied body-wide, suffices as deodorant pitwise as well, and suspect that deodorant is a household myth perpetuated by cosmetics industries. Think so?

I just looked and indeed it is antiperspirant deodorant

And I note she prefers "unscented" ones such as especially the ones with unobtrusive easy-edges (I think it's Secret?) and if not available Arm&Hammer...whose plastic edge is slightly more obtrusive and scraping

A teensy weensy minority of people are very lucky and do not smell very much -even when sweating profusely. They can get by with little or no deodorant or antiperspirant. But no amount of scrupulous scrubbing is going to remove the pong from some armpits. They MUST use deodorant or an antiperspirant. If the pong gets into clothing - particularly synthetic clothing - it is there to stay -FOREVER!!!!! This compounds the problem as you may have scrupulously scrubbed your pits but then put on some piece of clothing you have previously sweated into and pooooooo-eeeeee - stinky - nasty stinky poo!!! And that is BEFORE you even sweat!!! Just for your information - recent studies into the effectiveness of deoderants on men and women revealed that for women - a roll on worked better than a spray. For men - a spray worked better because the spray managed to penetrate through the hair to the skin. Necessity is the mother of invention. I do not think that body odour is something that cosmetic industries invented just to market a new product. It exists! I think your wife might be trying to tell you something.....bless her heart!

I highly recommend Lavlin, a product that doesn't have some of the nasty chemicals of typical underarm deodorants and works exceptionally well, even for problem smellers! It is a creme that is applied as little as once a week (sometimes less). It can be hard to find - natural grocery stores usually carry it but ones that are strictly organic do not. It's expensive at the outset (well, more than $10) but lasts forever.

I am in no way associated with their company or the website I list. Just a very satisfied user of this product for probably 20 years.

Absolutely not. A deodorant is a scented product meant to smell good, an antiperspirant is meant to kill the bacteria made by sweat.

The smell of BO is actually the germs poop, so wear a deodorant that is an antiperspirant too.

If the edge is scraping you, push the product further out of the top, therefore creating more of a cushion so it won't scrape. Maybe you could use the spray on kind. Just a thought.

This depends if she is using deodorant or anti perspirant. There is a huge difference. Deodorant only masks odor, therefore, soap may work just as well. Anti-perspirant, on the other hand, has ingredients that prevent the sweat from ever happening, thus preventing the perspiration from mixing with the body's bacteria to produce odor.

earlier we even handle the declare, i will place up the style of Israeli Jews alongside the lines of three significant divisions (Ashkenazi, Mazrahi, and Sephardi). Mizrahi: 3.5-4 million Ashkenazi: 2.8-4 million Sephardi: 2.5-3 million the parable is that each physique Israeli Jews are Ashkenazi Jews who supposedly descended from the Khazar Turks. at an analogous time as that's genuine that the royalty and aristocracy of Khazaria did convert to Judaism, that's no longer likely that each physique Ashkenazi Jews are descended from Khazar Turks. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, regardless of if their theories approximately descent are genuine, they are ignoring 6-7 million Israeli Jews who are not Ashkenazi Jews.

I'm not sure about the deodorant part, but I know that they put alum or some such into the bar to close your pores so you won't perspire.

Hmm, interesting. Kind of like holidays? Just made up so we buy cards and gifts, or get dressed up and spend money on stupid things.
Deodorant is a more direct application, like tooth paste. Does it really work? They say it has antibacterial agents and keeps us dry. I think it does, some of the time...

Deoderant works, but it has so many nasty chemicals that are so bad for your body. I like the peppermint soap too!

I think you don't need it unless you have a body odor problem. I'm pretty much with you on this one!
