It depends on the genre you like best, I guess:

Tearjerkers- Life is Beautiful (Get the Italian version with subtitles- makes it SOOOO much better!), Ghost (so sad!!), City of Angels, Love Story

Comedy- Wayne's World (always a good time), Wedding Crashers, Love Actually (also sort of falls into Drama too, good stuff), Eurotrip

Horror- Stick with old-school, like The Exorcist or Carrie. They don't make 'em like they used to!

Gross-Out- Can't go wrong with Jackass or Jackass 2. You will laugh until you almost die!!!

Old-school- Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, Vacation, The Jerk

REALLY Old-School- It's a Wonderful Life (almost the right time of year!!), Gone With the Wind (if you can look past the racist overtones, it is the greatest love story)

I have to agree with The Departed; in theaters. But as far as a rental? I'd go with Original Sin...That movie is so hot.

action or scary movies in the theater, family movie rent it out.....
antway a good movie is when we remember every detail of the movie eventhough we've seen it for the first time... and by the end of it there's an exhale of satisfaction with a smile on your face....
