my fancy dress competition?sorry what's it about?...
If its a dress designing competition...
Prehaps you can go for details...
like weaving of fabric or leather or even special treated like dyeing and even beading...
Most importantly, you need a theme...
For example: floral- then you can try applique of different fabric to form floral patterns and even add some beaded to the details...
