or do you think its better to pick em up next year and leave him this year,

If I pick him up in my fantasy I'd have to drop Modano or Forsberg

You cant drop one of those 2, but Staal is awesome!

When someone sneezes on Forsberg and he gets injured however, thats when you can make the drop. He is a walking injury, so Forsberg will eventually get hurt.

I think he's a viable option, but not at the expense of Modano or Forsberg, especially if you're not in a keeper league. He's moved up to the second line in Pittsburgh, but I still don't see him scoring as many points as either of those other two guys.

If it was a keeper league, I'd be tempted to dump someone on my team in order to make room for Staal. I'm sure he's got some big years ahead of him, and he's obviously way younger than most of the current crop of players. For a single-year league, though, I wouldn't make that move, unless you can find someone less valuable than Forsberg or Modano to drop.

I agree with the first anwer, though Staal has 4 goals and 3 of them are short-handed. He is excelling on the penalty kill. If short-handed points are a valuable commidty in your league, he is definitely worth a pick up, though not by dropping a Foresberg or Modano.

Staal's going to be good. I say drop Forsberg because 1) He'll probably get injured again, especially his groin. 2) He's playing for Philly and I don't see a big turnaround in Philly's play any time soon.

i picked him up on Monday at the cost of Leafs goalie prospect Mikael Tellqvist, meaning ive got the Pens Big 3 on one of my 4 Yahoo teams,so i think hes worth the risk, but if u can afford to let go of a lesser player than Modano or Forsberg,id say do it,and do it now, before he explodes and u regret not picking him up sooner

Problem is as the others said who do you drop. I mean he is good, but short of SH being worth extra is it worth dropping either of them.
