yes, i think i read in a magazine about a young girl who had this happen to her.
i think she was in a coma and when she woke up she hated who she was, she was fat and she lost loads of weight because she hated the way she looked.
Even her likes and dislikes were completely different because her room was full of something like pigs or dogs / cats something like that anyway, you know a theme but she hated it and changed it completely. She was a completely differnet person to when she had gone into the coma.
I feel sorry for her friends though and her family because i suppose they had lost the person they used to know?

Its called amnesia. But it has more to do with your memory There are actually two types of this things. When you have an injury, your short term memory can become affected and not create any new memories and the people who you met today, tomorrow you are not gonna be able to remember them (remember 50 first dates, thats real, and it happens). There is another condition where you cannot remember past memories, but in time they can come back. (Retrograde and antegrade, I think they are called)

I would therefore say with all my mind - yes, this is possible. Just imagine how many wonderful minds, mindsets and personalities could be out there just waiting to be choosen. There could be all sorts of wonderful and lovely people - philosophers, thinker, romantics and doctors, all waiting for someone to turn up; wishing to be realised and lived by someone nice, caring and friendly. This after all is our mind why should we lose it for anything less than that.

Yes, there have been a few cases of this. Pretty rare, though and usually after injury.
