I do. I just cannot explain why bad things happen to good people? Is it a lesson, a curse, or luck?

Yes karma exists but it's not what is traditionally thought of when you think of it. It is not retribution for doing bad things in another life ... it is however a balancing of experiences. In one life you may be the one to experience the side of life that is a murderer or an abuser to balance that experience another life will be that of a victim. You can't grow spiritually until you have a knowledge of both sides of an experience and knowledge of how that experience impacted those you care about and those you didn't even realize would be affected. Unfortunately you can't only experience "good things." As humans we don't learn from good, we only learn from suffering and pain. We script what we need to complete the balancing act in each life and if we don't complete it we repeat it until we do get through to a balanced state.

Yes I do believe in Karma, I didn't useto. In fact I use to think the idea to be c r a p but I know different now! I think whoever fills our parachute of life ( cards we are dealt) figures cause the good knows not to be evil therefore gets more challenges to deal with which makes bad things happen to good people! Or Ladyluck is too busy trying convert bad people into being good people just doesn't always have enough time for the already good. As for Karma it's all 3 of what you ask not just one. Karma can be a curse or it can be a blessing!Karma can be a teacher. Karma can be either bad luck or good luck or Adversity to some! for more in on karma see:

No. Some bad people get good things and some good people get bad things. Karma doesn't exist.

Hi - I have looked into this as well and I hope I can offer some insight.

I understand Karma a little differently to what you might think it means.

Think of Karma like a wheel. It goes around. Or a chain made up of links.

For example:

You are driving along, but your not going fast enough for the person behind you. He's tailgating you and gesturing rudely. Then he swerves around you quickly, screaming abuse out his open window at you.

That person has just handed you some bad Karma. What you do with it is the key to understanding Karma. Our natural instinct is to get really angry, upset and/or hurt by the situation - and in turn we very well may end up taking that frustration out on someone else, thereby handing the bad Karma along to the next person.

We can become a 'link' in the chain of Karma, and it just keeps getting passed around.

Equally, good Karma goes around. We walk down the street and someone steps out of our way, smiles and says 'hello'. Our spirits are lifted and we smile back. That would be good Karma being handed to us. The progression then is that we pass on the good Karma to someone else, and so on.

Karma is more like unseen energy and we perpetrate it's existence by handing it around. I suppose you could say that the more people out there that are perpetrating good Karma the better the world will be for everyone.

Good and bad Karma are not currency in some spiritual bank-account. They merely represent energy and how it travels by way of human contact.

You asked why bad things happen to good people - I would have to say it is mostly down to chance. If you are in the wrong place at the wrong time bad could happen. Karma is not like an electronic tag you wear around - life is just a deck of wild cards. Sometimes it turns out for your fortune and sometimes it turns out bad fortune.

Hope that answer's your question!

More of a warning and hopefully a lesson. I'm glad there is Karma. I've know and seen some people hurt others and mostly people who hurt animals. Just not to long ago a guy i had as a neighbour who just moved in, came right out and told me he hit an animal. Think he was been a smart *** because i have a cat. Well he told me more stuff about what he did but to sad and cruel to mention. But hit more then once. I was so upset with this pathatic sick idiot. Well i did not see him for a couple of days. So here he is coming up to his door way with his face all black, blue and swollen. LOL. Now he wants to talk to me about what happen. Looking for pity. Well i had this big smile on my face and just laughed. He did not like it at all. I told him now you know how that animal felt. I still have a smile on my face when i see his ugly battered face. KARMA!!!
Take care.

Yes I do believe in Karma, very much so (not to an extreme point though). Bad things happen to good people becuase they just do. It's apart of life, and maybe its a way of evening things out. Like in order for something extremelly good to happen, something sort of bad has to happen. Were all human, and we all make mistakes too, which can affect your karma.

The reason you can't explain why bad things happen to good people is: - It has nothing to do with Karma. Karma - as I understand it - is that "feeling" you have that you have been there before, said those words before, feel familiar in a place you have never been, walk into someone and instantly connect. There are many other examples. But the "expression" that "bad things happen to good people", is not one of them. Keep be living in Karma, you have been here before and will be again, that is your Karma!

The literal meaning of the word karma is cause and effect, but to me it is lesson learning rather than punishment.

No.

bad things happen to all kinds of people - and good things happen to all kinds of people.
No person is good all the time --- some people may act better longer than some but we all have bad qualities too.
