True, I won't get into a light switch because that's obvious but I will talk a little about computers. Computer programs and tasks are not encoded in english, or even a programming language like C. There's a language called machine that's the only thing a computers processor can really understand. Every task, every character on a keyboard, anything you can do with a computer is broken down into bytes and then to bits. There are 2 kinds of bits, 0 and 1. They were assigned those values because when electricity is running that equals a 1 and when it stops that equals a 0.
