I think its a strange outlook but even more so because you have children. Maybe you dont care if your here only 5 more years but I'm sure your kids will have something different to say about that. Dont you ever want to see them get married and have their own kids ? Dont you want to see and hold those kids ?? Dont you want to grow old with your wife ?? Dying in 5 yrs or when your 85 is a huge difference.

Wow, that is a strange out look to have. You could either be depressed, for which you should talk to your doctor, or you may be a deeply spiritual person whose ready to move onto the next thing. Even if you don't care about your time on this earth you should care about your children and the impact your untimely death would have on them. Maybe you aren't utilizing the time you have to the best of your abilities. If you aren't living your life to the fullest then you need to change what it is you're doing. Don't let boredom kill your spirit.

I use to have this problem, but this was when life wasnt so great. Is your life bad? Now that my life is good I want to live forever. I think you need to get a new outlook on life. Cheer up, be happy and most of all have fun. Buy yourself a new pair of sunglasses to give yourself a new outlook and keep your head up.

I don't think you have such a sunny disposition on life. And, since you have kids, you should want to be around as long as possible so that you can see them graduate, get married, have children, and see your grandchildren! I am not afraid to die but I am hoping I live a long and joyful life. I know there'll be struggles... sometimes I will be depressed but I don't mind living long because it proves that I am a strong person that overcame the obstacles that were handed to me in life.

I'm in my 50's and I don't think about it at all. If I live my life as best as I can, then that is what is important along with treating others with love, and kindness. When it is my time to go "home", I will not have any choice in the matter.

I never felt that way until I lost my husband, and then my mother. Now, I don't WANT to die, but if my time has come, I'll go willingly. I do, however, try to have a good heart and believe in God, so that I can one day be rejoined with my loved ones!! I live each day to it's fullest!

If you have the means to support yourself or your children can support you financially, then it is fine to live a long life. If you are old, sick and immobile and have difficulties with paying for healthcare, then it's best to die to avoid the sufferings. You need money to support your long life.

Doesn't matter to me except for my children. If I didn't have children then I wouldn't care. I lost my dad at a young age so I don't want my children to be like I was.
