hi all .. i downloaded google eath .. but in Australia names of buildings,roads,dining,parks .... r not showing .. IN USA and other places r showing .. whats the prob then ?

Never really noticed that before! It's all down to the quality of the information and maps they have available, I think. Wouldn't it better if google earth was 'real time' and you could see people going about the streets?

Go to the Left panel, in the box below "Places" and click on Google Earth. That will bring up the placemarks. If your screen becomes overwhelmed with placemarks, click on the same button again and they will clear out.

Because they are not mapped and indexed in Google's database.. but check out the important locations in your country.. like `sydney harbour' and they wiill be visible, cause they have been indexed
