Ive just got a new house and me and my husband are doing it up before we move in. Can anyone give me any good luck or protection for your home spells, charms, incantations etc as i would like our house to be nasty sprit free, and to be welcoming to everyone.

Get a bowl made of natural material (clay, copper, china etc) half fill with some pure water (from a bottle or ideally from a well) a white candle, some salt and three coins of very low value.
On a night with a full moon, sit so you can see the moon, light the candle and say this incantation
Blessed be the light,
blessed be the salt, blessed be the water, blessed be the coins, one, two, three, (drop each coin into the water) bless my home with love and laughter, light and happiness, bless it be' blow out the candle, sprinkle the water and salt in each room, especially by the front door, and bury the coins by your front gate or nearest to the path or house entrance for protection. I wish you luck and love

Be careful! I would not do anything leave well enough alone! Untill you know for sure if there are spirits there or not. You may bring them on anyway by doing such a thing. Do you already feel their are nasty spirits there? If not I would be careful of my opinion of spirits not all are nasty and some spirits are our guides and protection.

You want things to be welcoming, look into feng shui and learn about colors and energy fields and drafts in the way you arrange you furniture.

Hang crosses in your house in every room.

Use white for protection and purity.

Use reds for love and passion.

Watch woods and metal...

If there are already spirits use sage and sea salt.

You should take a new broom into the house and not an old one, its lucky, you should also take salt into the house and never be without it, you should also introduce yourselves to the good spirits of the house and ask them for protection, love and luck, you could get a few feng shui items too, they are good luck in a new home, lots of sites online for you to check out what to get and what they mean, good luck and be happy in your new home.

If you get a sage stick light it and let the smoke waft in all rooms in the house to get rid of any negative vibes from previous tennants. This originates from the American Indians. Also ask the angels for constant protection for your house and imagine your house surrounded by angels all the time. Believe me it works.

Don't bring a used broom through the front door. Brings all the "bad" luck from the previous residence. Take it in through side door or window. Also, You're supposed to "salt" the carpets.
Add salt to Your carpets in order to protect Your home.

there are a lot of ways to make a house wholesome and welcoming. as far as negative energy someone mentioned sage and sweet grass. these are best bought as smudging wands. you can get them in a lot of places. natural stores. Native American stores. etc. the smoke from a smudge wand does well to shake loose clamped on negative energy. but follow it up, get to know feng shui which is an oriental art of making a space positive in energy and welcoming to all who enter. there are spells, charms, sigils, all kinds of magickal ways of enchanting a house. but those are best left for personal choice. anywhere you can get books and study material on magick is a great source. i recommend

great source for reading anything in spiritual or magickal sources.

hope this helps

Sprinkling salt around the foundation of the house and nailing crosses at each window and doorway should keep any spirits out. Also you may think of getting a dream catcher so that the spirits can't enter your dreams.

Pour salt around the entire outside of your house.
It will keep bad spirits out and also kill your snails.... Inside, fill a jar with uncooked rice and store it away in a cabinet in your kitchen, this will assure that you will never go hungry.
Best of Luck in your new house, Enjoy !!!!!

If you smudge your house with sage, do it on a full moon and think warm, happy thoughts at the same time. Old american indian tradition. I have done it and believe it works. It is supposed to ward off evil spirits.
