I'd like to obtain a catfish as a pet...I have a kiddie pool in the back that's pretty deep so i'd add some salt water and keep him there as a pet...anyone know where I can catch one ? I want to name him Herb. or if it's a girl she'd be named Marge. I hope my dream comes true!

Get some little corydoras catfish from the pet store. They are adorable and pretty easy to take care of. All you need is an aquarium (a 10 gallon would be good for about 5 of them), a filter, heater and thermometer, some playsand (they like sand better than gravel), water conditioner, and sinking algae wafers and you're all set.

Where are you now? You can catch catfish in just about any lake in Texas and I suppose anywhere. Saltwater would not be necessary. They are scavengers, bottom feeders so you would need to do a little research to be sure the proper foods will be available to it or you can name him dead. But catching one shouldn't be a problem.

Other then that I dont really know.
