and I don't know if he still likes me when we are alone he talks and acts normal but in front of people he acts so different

He is just putting on a act.. If I was you I would treat him the same way he was treating you in public. That is nuts I haven't heard that one in a long *** time. Well First ask him if he is embarrassed of you. Second ask him what his problem is..If he acts all weird and doesn't give you a answer on both of them then head out you don't need him. That's what I would do. I hope I helped you on this one.
