Try to look at your hands in your dream. Once you found your hands, pick four other objects in the dream. look at object one, look at your hands, look at object two, look at your hands and so on. The secret of being able to do things in your dream is to say out loud "I will to ________" (look at my hands, fly, etc.) you have to say it out loud though. If you are really interested Carlos Castaneda wrote ten books on the subject which tell one continuous story and are well worth reading.

Lucid dreaming is the conscious perception of one's state while dreaming, resulting in a much clearer ("lucid") experience and sometimes enabling direct control over the content of the dream. The complete experience from start to finish is called a lucid dream. Stephen LaBerge, a popular author and experimenter on the subject, has defined it as "dreaming while knowing that you are dreaming.

You don't make sense to me. You don't believe that lucid dreaming is possible yet, you've done it. Yes, knowing you're dreaming while in the dream is lucid dreaming.
People can say it's impossible all they want; we know better. There's plenty of methods you can try. At least read on it more. It's not rare for someone to lucid dream after reading about it.

Yes Lee, lucid dreaming is an overly truly mind phenomena, or dream enjoy. Lucid dreaming does not regularly provide you manage over your goals. If I have been to be competent to I could distinguish lucid dream from lucid-managed goals. For me its a lot more complex to appear in goals, than to be mindful even as I am dreaming. I wish to broaden my enjoy with this phenomena, in an effort to be trained usable ways for growing dream manage. Here are a few methods I use myself: a million. Reality Checks - "I am dreaming." "This is a dream." two. Dream indicators - A) What you dream of more commonly, being related to fact determine. B) Put some thing into reminiscence, typically, that's related to fact determine. three. Alarms - Wake up in Rem cycles, of forty five min durations, after 8hr interval. four. Dream Loads - A) Meditate or awareness on outside phenomena, and use it for reminiscence uploads. B) Signify the reminiscence with a signifier, ex: Load: Scene a million. five. Active journaling - to broaden reminiscence utilized in dreaming.

As Black-Bard stated... coming straight out of wikipedia! It's when you realize that you are in a dream state and take control of some, most, or all of what happens. So congrats on your first real lucid dream kiddo. I've had a few myself. The best one I recall having to this day is when I was being chased down some school hallway. I was closing my locker door and when I looked over my shoulder there were like 5 guys with these like billy goat horns on there heads. I tried running from them but I ran into a dead end (chain locked doors). I thought to myself... I have to be dreaming... I have to defend myself. Instantly I turned towards them and threw a big @$$ fireball at them. They were screaming and hollering as they burned down to the floor. Twisted huh... but so damn cool. Keep practicing on your awareness when you go to sleep. Your first sign of progress will be that you start to remember more of your dreams. Another thing I found that helps me, that I haven't heard from anywhere else, is to induce your own dream. While you are in bed about to go to sleep concentrate on what you want to dream about, and nothing else. Good luck!
