i mean most women convert Islam because the way it treats her im a women and in Islam im treated the best...men open car doors when im going in, they help us, they don't let us stand in lines for stuff in markets for example, they let us pass first. if a women is carrying something heavy they help her with it, sometimes i wake up and my car is clean, because my old man neighbor cleaned it while cleaning his i lived my whole life in Muslim countries. Palestine, Jordan, Saudi, Egypt and went to the USA and Britain but never found a good way in treating a women , only in Islam When a women is married, she can not work if she does not want, but she also can, both ways the HUSBAND is the one to spend money on her, the money she gets from work is hers When she is hurt even by a touch she can go to court, Islam gives her the right to divorce and have money too my mom and all Muslim married women i knew in my whole life are treated LIKE QUEENS. Why do people say that Islam is against women?

i totally agree.....love being the part of it....most of ppl will say that it's part of usual good manners....but point here is that ISLAM actually teaches these....i agree most ppl do follow good manners,but it's not because of their religious beliefs,it's their own good nature...but Islam actually promotes,this attitude with women,for every practising muslim Alhumdulillah.
misconception...... because media portray the muslim women this way,that they harassed or backward,which is not true...and for some ppl,veil also brings this misinterpretation....which actually love as that's also the part of honour n dignity..(i guess i answered ur question b4 too,but loved to do it again)

and i do agree with some ppl,some muslims don't follow these principles but it doesnt mean it's not taught in islam.i leave in islamic country,and i experience all this every day...

may be because we have seen them stoned to death for a affair with a married man and he got nothing may because we have seen them beaten for there face showing maybe because we have seem them killed for wanting to change don't ever think that there is any better men than right here in this USA because there isn't and don't ever think there isn't men right here in this USA that don't open doors clean your car let you go first in line because there is and don't ever think that there is the best men in the USA that also treat there wife-g/f and daughters like Queens because there is and there will always be

I do not know enough about my own culture to make broad genralizations about it. I'm Chicano. There is anti Muslim sentiment in America. Fear of the unknown, i suppose. I'm sure most cultures fear other cultures and have stereotypes about them. Its human nature. I think that it is easy for a majority to pick out one minority culture (or many) to oput them down and make themselves feel like the better ones. I'm glad you get treated well. All women should in every culture.

good for you...sincerally (glad you're happy)..but why do you need to stareotype? maybe that's why people are mocking you..not all muslims are like that.
some are nice, i agree..
others are ok
others are crazy-mostly arabs=circumsize women that are found having sex before marriage...cut a criminal's hand..bomb themselves..
not all are like that but those are the types i hate

find a good true spiritual guide or say religious leader to understand Islam in the right way.It is really the best religion one can follow.The only caution is :Do not get attracted by Extreme divisions who interpret Islam in their own way.
Find someone who interprets Islam in the right way.May God help you.

Lady don't mean to dispute you, but I just came back from there and I didn't see it that way. Those guys do anything to those women they want and there is no court to stop them.
They have no rights! So who ever told you that has never been there. I know you are just defending your religon.
I understand that. But there has been to many people over there seeing it as it really is. What you just said, that doesn't happen.
