The legal age in Illinois is 18 so you need parental consent. Any place that is willing to illegally pierce a minor can't be considered a "good" place...if they are willing to ignore the law on age, likely they are not following the laws on cleanliness, sterilization, procedure, etc. If you are mature enough to get a tongue piercing, then you are mature enough to have the patience to wait until you are 18.
