Depends on what you would normally spend - we never have chrissie pressies as if there is something we want, then we just buy it anyway. A short break is great - Paris is lovely.

We do something like that in our family since everyone is married and have children now our family has gotten so big, so we have a $25 limit and we draw names for family members. That way none of us blow our budgets. If there is something she really likes or collects that would be a great gift. I gave my wife some spa bath stuff last year and she loved it. You know her best. Listen to her and take notice of things she likes. They always love it if you've listened to them and got them something they've mentioned in the past. It shows that you pay attention to her. that is a good idea! well, depends on if you have a budget or not and what your wifey actually means by a 'small' present. you could buy her a pair of socks and she could actually buy you some really nice cufflinks or something!!
