I am visiting England at the moment, and they are definately not all Hugh Grant-gentleman types. There are some cute ones, but where we are now, there seem to be a terrible lot of men who will walk around in shiny tracksuits with their hands down the front of their trousers, wearing very chunky gold jewellery, all with the same buzz-cut hairdo, and an angry look on their face, somewhat like a bulldog. Quite disappointing really. Not at all what I expected.

I live in England and the ratio of cute to nothing-special men is about the same here as anywhere. But it's the voice, not the cute-factor that makes American women fancy British men. My friends in the States love talking to my husband and when they call, it's hard to get him off the phone with them! But, then, he's a big flirt...
But, it wasn't my husband's voice that won my heart, it was his intelligence, his brilliant conversation, his kind and loving heart, and his sense of humour... the fact that's he's English is just happenstance.
I don't think American girls feel superior to English ones at all! I am American and I have loads of English girl friends (and a couple of Scottish and Irish ones as well); we do girls' nights and talk on the phone and meet for coffee and shop and everything else girlfriends do together; and there isn't a superiority complex in any of us.

I think you overuse punctuation, and that being a British male is great. Other than that I think you are being very generalised in your opinions. I'm not sure where you picked up the bit where you say 'and american girls think they're better than english girls???' because its the first I have ever heard of anyhitng like that.
That said, every time I have gone to the US I have been treated like a mini celeb simply because of the accent.

Do American girls really think that? I am not so sure. Personally I have never met any American who gave me the impression they thought I was in some way inferior to them. I am a good judge of character so perhaps it is only certain American girls who do not move in our circles that believe all English men are cute (does this include football hooligans and BNP members) and that they are in some way better than me and mine.

Brits not experience important even as the yank accent is spoken. It makes them experience uneasy. human beings want to understand, the Japs beat the British in WW2 and took over their Pacific colonies. And us of a had to save the day and defeat the Japs. After WW2 British capacity became not in any respect an same. Now the united kingdom isn't something more effective than a tale contained in the heritage books, like France. subsequently, legends of their own minds.

Having lived on both sides of the pond this is how I feel... One most men in Britain are homely and stupid. They smoke too much, drink too much and have bad B.O. very few are what could be called cute.
As for American girls thinking they are better, what exactly consistutes this. American girls don't wear belly shirts if they are overweight and let the blubber hang over the jeans that are three sizes to small, they do wash their hair on a regular basis, they do have nice teeth but they suck at politeness and schooling.. So all in all I think there are pros and cons for both. But given a choice of guys (and I don't really like that species) I would take American any day.
Oh but then there is Oded Fehr and hes neither, lol!

I think that most american girls think that britain is full of loads of Hugh Grants - perfect gentlemen with a posh accent. Im British, and i definatly aint nothing like Hugh.
I think i'll start planning my visit to America. Where do you recommend? Where are the most impressionable/gullable women in America??

Similarly, British women prefer Australian, French, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Scandanavian and American men.
It's because people are so used to men/women of their own country they think the grass is greener over the hedge.

Well, not all guys in Britian are cute. Some are ugly. Just like in all countries. Yes, there are cute guys in England. And in the US and Canada and everywhere else.
American girls do not think they are better than British girls.. Well, that is just with me... I do not think I am better than anyone. Maybe some girls do. They probably think they are sexy or something. WHich kind of makes me laugh because there are hot girls all over the world.
BRITISH GIRLS VS: AMERICAN GIRLS: ( This is mostly what I assume and see in real life and on TV )
AMERICAN:
1. Enjoys going to the mall and shopping
2. Likes men who are strong and powerful, which includes high school football players
3. Thinks the entire world revolves around them and are snobs
4. Obsesses over boys
5. Obsesses over silly things like big breasts and a big butt.
6. Obsess over England's royalty
BRITISH:
1. All girls like to shop ( well most of them in any given country )
2. More mature and sophisticated
3. Not ignorant about the world beyond the UK.
4. Most do not obsess over Prince William or Harry like American girls
