It depends on the friend. Reader's Digest had some great inspirational stories in it. If your friend likes to read and loves stories like that. then I would say yes. but if not then no. You know your friend...it is a judgement call...

That magazine has evoled a lot since its inception WAY back when and I think its great. Not only is it appropriate for anyone it has so much interesting stuff in it. Some may not agree but they are likely the ones with a Tiger Beat or a Teen Cosmo in their hands. No harm in that either but its more than FLUFF that makes the world go round. If you know someone who enjoys reading, encourage it with something WORTH reading!! Oh, by the way, that's a yes!! LOL. Bye

I love reader's digest although I've always thought the name was a little odd. I think a subscription is a fine gift.

No,Reader's Digest is one of those magazines that some people can't get into.I recommend something more mainstream like People or Rolling Stone.

If, the stories and articles peak the reader's interest, then go for it! I like Reader's Digest, but, some of reading can get lengthy and depressing.

It depends on how old your friend is. Reader's Digest seems to be geared for middle-aged people and up, who have short attention spans.

Absolutely. Whats great about Readers Digest is that its great for any age. Its also great reading material for the bathroom unless you have hand held games in the bathroom like I do. My dad has had the subscription for years and he still has one on the back of his toilet. hehehe.

I love Readers Digest, I always nick my Dads when hes finished with it. If its the sort of mag that your friend is interested in then def! If, on the other hand they have a hobby, maybe thed enjoy a mag around this 1 subject, eg radio controlled cars, card making, etc. xx
