I remember when this series first came out...it took a love for Astronomy and Science that I already had and actually magnified it. Considering it's now over 25 years old, there isn't very much in it that wouldn't still be relevent today. Sagan's knack for explaining advanced concepts in a way anyone could understand is probably his single most important contribution to the field...and he had MANY. There's part of me that had always hoped that if extraterrestrial life was ever proven to exist beyond earth, that it would happen while Sagan was still alive...his input would have been priceless. His death was one of the few times a famous person's demise made this grown man cry.

Carl Sagan said that we are all made of Star Stuff? 2-)Nearly every atom from which we are made once (before the solar system formed) was inside of a star. He actually said the atoms in our body, the gold in our banks were all Synthesized by the stars

He was a bright man with a distinct vision he was able to extend to the average person.
The word Character comes to mind. There is little character left in society these days.
His viewpoints were a bit libby and pessimistic for me but he tried to examine both sides and his premises were well grounded.
If nothing else he was distinctly entertaining.
This world needs dreamers like in cosmos god bless him.

Can't say enough about the man and his works. Somehow he always managed to convey his own sense of awe and excitement about our wondrous universe. After he was gone, the kind of intermet he was given couldn't have been more fitting.

A great show, a great man - able to present science clearly to a nation more interested in celebrities and sports.

the one good he did was to show us visual footage of the wonder of God's creation! That is all that is relevant. the rest is stuff that he made up and so desperately wants to believe, himself..
