Has anyone seen it, and is it any good?

I don't want links to what the critics said about it. They don't understand regular people, and always give horrid ratings to good movies, and good ratings to horrid movies.

So if we are really into WW2, we will probably like it, right? Is it historically correct?

To be very honest I don't think this movie I really a "War" film. I think the main focus is on people of America at the time. It's a movie about humanity and how the time, the war, and the situation about having these guys retun and then start selling some national product in the name of commercialism.
Now, I could be wrong but, that's what it looks like to me.
Can't wait to see it! Prolly this weekend.

In the case of Flags of Our Fathers and Flyboys, it is better if you read the books. The books were by far better than the movies. The movies never do the books justice. They leave too much out. Don't get me wrong, sometimes book to movie works. Just not in this case. The two books were written by the same author, the son of one of the men from Flags of Our Fathers. I believe Bradley is his last name, but forgive me if I am wrong. I just recently discovered the books. Have fun!

If you ever want to know what regular people think, check out 'Yahoo Movies'... viewers reviews. That helps a lot.

It was REALLY depressing, but I loved it. Very well made - what else can you expect from Clint. Dragged on in some parts but I thought overall it was a very good film.

My brother is really into war movies...he hated this one. There wasn't too many war scenes, just took place on one island and the time they spent there wasn't too long. It wasn't good to me either.
