My desk is fairly small but I have the usuals also telephone, message pad, monitor, mousepad w/pics of friends & family, roll a dex, more pictures, calendar, desk pad, lotions & chapstick, letter/file trays, file box with various papers & binders, clock radio, miscellanous pens & pencils, stampers, white out, stapler, tape dispenser, 3 hole punch, 2 hole punch, lunch menus, more of various papers, cell phone, various trinkets, and my cup with the drink of the day in it which today would be diet pepsi. Wow now that I've spelled it all out like that it's wonder I have a place to sit and yet fairly neat and organized and let's not even get started on what's hidden on the floor underneath or in the two cabinets above or inside the drawers.

A coffee cup, a water bottle. A lazy-susan type thingy with pens, stapler, scissors, etc. A jar of Craisins. A 3-hole punch. My mobile phone. My iPod. A tiny R2-D2 toy that squirts water. A pile of receipts. My computer equipment. Lots of books: Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, Chicago Manual of Style, Oxford American Writer's Thesaurus, New York Times Guide to Essential Knowledge, and Bartlet's Familiar Quotations. Bookends to hold the books up.

Oh, and the manuscript I'm supposed to be editing.

Let's see; computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse, a Winnie the Pooh mouse pad, a joystick, my contact case, two silver rings, a hand-crafted sterling silver cross on a chain, some lippy, a uniball fusion pen whose ink appears clear until you write with it, a pen box full of drawing pens/pencils, "The Commitments" DVD, a "Me to You Bear" box full of odds and ends, an empty bottle of Evian, scented oil spray, picture of my "mom's tree" in Arkansas (planted in her honour after she died), a lavender candle, earphones, Winnie the Pooh mini books, and a rubber band. On the top tier is a CD spool full of movies, two speakers with pink hats hanging off of them, a silver and purple box, a crystal owl, two Willow Tree figurines (Angel of Miracles and Together), and my red satin covered "God box" with a glass guardian angel sitting in front of it. Normally there is a cat up there too, but he just got wronged for trying to sneak out the back door.
