My brother said the books were always better than the movies because you got more details in the books and the other characters (Ron, Hermione) were better developed in the books. He says Ron comes off like an absolute doofus on screen.

The movie wasn't at all as I expected it would be. Goblet of Fire was the first HP movie that I'd actually sat down to watch, and I pictured Hogwarts to be a lot different. I wasn't happy with the way the story had to be altered in order to fit into the time line of the movie. No house-elves? What is that? :)
