I do this, silly as it seems. When I get home at the end of the day, I pat the steering wheel in my car and say "Thank you for taking me where I needed to go today, and keeping me safe." When I can't get a jar to open, or if I can't get a picture hung straight, I say something to it like, "Now damnit, behave yourself and do as you're told!" Oddly enough, most times when I do this, the offending object complies, and all is resolved. I sometimes do this at work, and people look at me like I'm off my rocker. Am I the only nutbag out there who does this, or are there other freaks like me?

Yeah I do it, I always say thank you to my pc at the end of the evening and a silent thank you to my lovely bed.
I also shout at my coat hangers when they get all jangled up together

I do the same thing. Mostly I apologize to my car for having to listen to me sing.
