Do you wait until the gas light comes on? Fill at 1/4 or 1/8 tank remaining?

Yes I'm one of those who waits till the dummy light comes on....

I guess I would have to say My Dad always told me to fill up by 1/2 tank. The tank is 1/2 full of gas as well as gas fumes. If you would ever get in an accident, and the side of the car got hit where the gas tank is, the car is more likely to explode. I aways listened to my Dad. He was the greatest.

At the 1/4. I never wait for the light to come on because I'm always afraid I will be stuck somewhere without gas.
