A project in Space? Is it like the lazy man's version of My Space? As for topics, being sunned or mooned are rarely fun events. As for black holes, if you wanna here one, just listen to the garrulous ravings of Howard Stern.
However, if you really wanna go big, I am sure the Jedi archives have oodles of information of past wars in Space.

Don't know what class it's for but maybe something comparing what was thought about space and what was discovered when we actually got there might be interesting.
You know compare like Space 2001, Star Trek (original series), Heinlein books, etc. and what is reality.

Gamma ray bursts! The biggest explosions in the universe!
Or neutron stars! One table spoon of matter from a neutron star weighs as much as a million elephants.
Or cosmochemical evolution! Did you know that all of the matter in your body was once part of a star?

Play some Kerbal area software! the quantity of Kerbals you will kill earlier getting them to Mars is sufficient to make you rather scared. yet particularly, that's an exceedingly good yet in addition particularly great subject remember. you're able to make a history of area discovery, from the theorems of the greek philosophers and Galileo Galilei's telescope to putting the 1st men in to orbit, and cutting-edge verbal substitute. you're able to write with reference to the possibility's of gaining understanding of/modern-day of extraterestial existence. Or approximately rocket engines. the possibility's are as great as area itself xD What I many times do is examine plenty and then make a narrative out of it. remember, essays dont would desire to be the total certainty. They arent going to be checked on that besides. you would be superb, as long as you have had a minimum of one prepare run. I remember in intense college freshman year I had all those data yet ended up burning by using them in 3 minutes.
