His comments are insensitive and indefensible.

Am I the only person that is tiring of the constant bickering between the Libs and Neo-Cons? or the Dems and Repubs? or our messed up government officials in general? I sometimes wonder if we would benefit if a great hole straight to hell swallowed DC.... Please, when did we start taking this crap? Can we get all of them out and start again?

Have any of you actually listened to Kerry's joke? Have you listened to his retort to Mr. Snow's original call for an apology?
If you can't figure out that Kerry was actually making a joke at the President's expense....IE, You are in college. Work hard and study or you might end up stuck in Iraq, was an admitantly blundered joke using double entendre and trying to imply that:
Bush didn't study, Bush didn't do his homework, Bush's failed military policy now has us stuck in Iraq.
That is what it meant. If you actually believe that he was insulting the troops, then either YOU'RE INTELLIGENCE IS SUBPAR or you haven't actually heard the speeches themselves.
Seriously, can you ever think for yourselves? Can you actually comprehend that your interpretation is flawed?

Let me put this in simple words so that a conservative can understand. First, what he said is true. Since the elimination of the draft, the military is predominantly, (sorry, mostly,) made up of those that are poor, uneducated and have no alternative. Second, the comment was an indictment of Shrub's policies, not a slam of the troops. Third, uneducated does not mean stupid.

What's worse, a rude comment or 3000 GI's dead for a BIG BIG LIE?
Get your priorities straight and America will prosper.
If you don't, we will fall faster than Rome, and it will be the fault of the neo-conservative agenda.

Because the libs agree with Kerry. They are ignorant and think that everyone who joins the military is dumb. I hope they know that many of the doctors they go see joined the military to pay for their college expenses. Look who's dumb now.

Totally give and take.
I haven't a clue why people are defending his comments, just as I do not know why others are defending Foley.
What's wrong is wrong PERIOD.
We have allowed our political bias to blind us as to what is right and wrong.
Is this a societal issue that we can no longer admit self faults?
Are our schools warping our children's minds through their programs and ideology of not allowing our children to experience failure?
I think your question has scraped the tip of an iceberg.

You are kidding right, the righty's have said a lot worse that wasn't even true. Kerry is correct about George Bush's backdoor draft of our soldiers Kerry was referring to. The military knows the difference, but a chickenhawk Neocon would never know it like Bush.

Bush is using Kerry as a weapon of misdirection. No one is falling for these tactics. He will lose this battle like he is losing the war in Iraq.

that's what they do. They defend each other for the most heinous acts imaginable. They can not admit a democrat has done something wrong.
Look at the types of people Clinton pardoned, look the democrats defending Gerry Studds, etc...
