Although not all Moscow rivers, no answer about Russian rivers is complete without mentioning:

The Volga, the Kama, the Oka, and the Dvina (all on the European side of Russia).

The Volga is considered the "National River" of Russia, and is the longest river in Europe (3,690km). It is the most famous river in Russia, and is a source of great pride for Russian people.

The Kama is the largest "left side" tributary river to the Volga.

The Oka is a large river in central Russia, and is the largest "right side" tributary to the Volga. One of it's tributaries is the "Moskva River", which runs through Moscow.

The Dvina flows into the Dvina Bay of the White Sea... very pretty. (But this is not the Dvina Canal - 2 different thigns).

The only river that flows THROUGH Moscow is the Moskva, but the Volga is part of the Moscow Oblast region, and many of the others are "nearby".

Moscow is one of many greatest cities in the world. Is just a town that's grown fast in recent decades, and, as a result, comprises high-rise suburbs encompassing a relatively lightweight historical heart with lots of interesting old architecture. The most crucial place of Moscow may be the Red Square that's been for generations, one's heart and heart of Russia. Here, you are able to look at the Century St. Basil's Cathedral, one of the very popular bits of structure on the planet and the constructivist pyramid of Lenin's Mausoleum. Red Square happens to be a wealthy devote symbols of Russia's turbulent and intriguing past.

Bring US dollars, you cannot get or bring Russian roubles outside Russia. You can't pay for anything with dollars in shops but all major stores offer exchange facilities. GUM (pronounced goom) and the Red Square are amazing, shopping in Arbott street is great for tourists as well. Moscow is surprisingly expensive so bring plenty of cash!

The Moscow river and the Volga river. I was born on the Volga, and lived my first 15 years there, before moving to the US. I love it.

First, you have the city's namesake, Moscow river (Moskva-reka), which cuts the city roughly in half. Then, there is Neglinka, which you cannot see (over the years, it's been completely paved over, so now it essentially runs in an underground tube). Then, there's Yauza, famous for high level of pollution...

You can get cash from machines, that's what I did last summer. No need for dollars. There's a dropped money scam going around. If anyone drops money near you don't pick it up and get away from the situation as soon as possible. I'm not sure if the policeman involved was genuine but I shouted help and walked away: it worked. Try to learn some Russian before you go. It helps if you can master the Cyrillic script as signs, station names etc are not in English.
