No. We are a social species. Try therapy instead of technology. And dont forget to go to your H.S. Reunion....you need the socialization.

I can see people drawn to the hermit lifestyle finding it easier... everything they need can be bought online and delivered to their door; all their financial affairs can be tended to online; and they can even email loved ones for communication and never have to see a soul. The only drawback is getting sick and needing a doctor/hospital visit.
But, other than the loner sector, I doubt people will be any more alienated than they are now. Humans are a social animal and most need human interaction to stay mentally healthy, if for no other reason.

No I don't agree. People need other people, for socialising, intimacy (not just sex), for interaction. If you're feeling alienated you need to get out more, maybe join a club of some sort. Lots of really nice people out there.

i dont agree, your theory will not be possible because there will be too many people, if anything we will need more solitude.
and i dont trust robots anyway, less than i do people, it would be the person that builds the robots that i wouldnt trust

I don't think that will happen, people will still be out walking, socialising and working, somethings can never be done by robot alone.
