After all, don't the two of them have similar, if not identical, educational backgrounds?

E: Is that how liberals argue?

Convenient spin, Avery. Unfortunately, there's no evidence to support it.

Before touting John Kerry's war record maybe you should look it up!

Three purple hearts with out one day lost time.
Used a loophole to get back to the US.
Served four months in Viet Nam
By his own admission during those four months, Mr. Kerry continually kept ramming his Swiftboat onto an enemy-held shore on assorted occasions alone and with a few men, killing civilians and even a wounded enemy soldier. One can begin to appreciate Zumwalt's problem with Mr. Kerry as commander of an unarmored craft dependent upon speed of maneuver to keep it and its crew from being shot to pieces.
Mr. Kerry now refers to those civilian deaths as "accidents of war. "And within four days of his third Purple Heart, Mr. Kerry applied to take advantage of a technicality which allowed him to request immediate transfer to a stateside post.

Mr. Kerry was assigned to Swiftboat 44 on December 1, 1968. Within 24 hours, he had his first Purple Heart. Mr. Kerry accumulated three Purple Hearts in four months with not even a day of duty lost from wounds, according to his training officer. It's a pity one cannot read his Purple Heart medical treatment reports which have been withheld from the public. The only person preventing their release is Mr. Kerry.

No. Kerry did well in college, whereas Bush did not. Just cause you go to the same school doesn't mean you gained the same knowledge.

About the joke, Kerry was saying (or trying to say) that since Bush didn't study, or do his homework, he is now stuck in Iraq.

In addition, Kerry actually served in the active duty in Vietnam and was a decorated was hero.

Bush did not serve in Vietnam and records of his "service" in the Texas Air National Guard have been sealed. Speculation is that he actually shirked those responsibilities.

Sounds like someone actually knows what he's talking about. Wonder which one? Hmmmm.....

Yes, he would have been insulting himself if he was insulting the troops. He was a 4 year volunteer, not just a 2 year draftee, and he requested hazardous Vietnam duty because he wanted to fight Viet Cong.

He intended to say this:

“Do you know where you end up if you don’t study, if you aren’t smart, if you’re intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq. Just ask President Bush.”

But he left out the word "us". Bush has NEVER misspoken and said something he didn't mean, of course.

John "F'ing Kerry ? that is the weirdest middle name I have ever heard.... I agree with the gentleman that said they are both the same guy.. true enough. The Skull and Bones connection alone should be enough to nix them both.. but lets not forget boys and girls.. these two puppet heads are history already.. whats next is much more important..

What? Are you talking about the same Bush that is President. He reads Karl Roves speeches well but he can't even talk in public without a written script. Ever time he talks off script he puts his foot in his mouth. His IQ is about 80.
If GW Bush and Cheney were both killed in Veit Nam who would be President now? Why would anyone support Draft Dodgers?
John Kerry is a real war hero. He served. I think Kerry should apologize, right after Bush apologizes for lies to all Americans about why we were taken into war with Iraq. Bush should also apologize to all service members for his lies. Bush should also apologize for being a failure at protecting Americans before Sept. 11th. when he ignored the PDB. Do you think Bush will apologize? BTW, Bush's grades at Yale have never been released to the public, that is hog wash.

I'm not a big Kerry fan, but Kerry did fight for his country in Vietnam and Bush went crying to daddy and finagled his way over to the National Guard to get out of going.

Both GW Bush and J Kerry went to Ivy League, GW was a C student, JK was a C- student. (Doesn't matter how they got there)

A persons accent DOES NOT have any bearing on their intelligence. A persons regional dialog DOES NOT have any bearing on their intelligence.
The person who said "Just listen to them." obviously hasn't worked through their own stereotyping issues.

Um...NO. W only got into Yale because his daddy went there. He also didn't get very good grades. Then he wussed out and joined the National Guard during Vietnam, while Kerry had the balls to fight for our country. Just a bit different...

Plus, all you have to do is listen to each of them speak to see the difference in intelligence. If you can't figure out how inarticulate and ignorant our president is, you're not very bright yourself!

FACT: John Kerry got worse grades than "dumb" Bush.

FACT: John Kerry hates the troops he allegedly "supports."

FACT: The only military votes Kerry got were from Veterans who do not feel they are better off because of their military experience and Veterans who were discharged early or less than honorably.

This adds up to a lame politician making lame comments.
But this is Kerry we're talking about, what did you people expect?

2006-11-01 02:12:47 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 2 5

Similar, but Bush had higher grades.

Kerry just can't admit when he's lost. He made a mistake. He insulted our fighting men and women. He should have immediately apologized.

What is it with these Democrats? They dig up something that a Republican said 20 years ago, and demand his resignation, but one of their own says something this insulting and stupid, and they back up his lame excuse.

These wackos just don't live in the world of reality. They think that they are 100% right, and anyone who doesn't agree with them is stupid. They have no room for compromise. If they don't get their way, they throw a temper tantrum (filibuster).

Come on people, do you want children or adults running this country?
