My boyfriend is not that sure about an April Fool's Day marriage. I am a prankster and enjoy laughter and fun. Some of my friends agree with him and some agree it fits with my personality. We are still working on this date issue. He is deciding on it.

No one may take you seriously. But if you are planning to walk out on him during the ceremony, that's a good prank that could land you in hot water.

The only thing wrong with an April Fool's marriage is that the people you invite might not take it serious beacause its on April Fool's, but then again you shouldn't get married on a day that he is going to remeber. When you get married you are supposed to pick a day that he has to remember something easy but not to hard.

Just a guy opinion here, but I wouldn't want to be married on that particular day.

I would not want to have what is one of the most emotionally significant moment in my life to be associated with that particular date, and I certainly don't want to be thought of as an April Fool.

Think of it this way. Do you always want your anniversary to be more associated with pranks, or do you want to have a day which can still be filled with laughter, fun, and even a few pranks -- but is still your very own?

I don't see anything wrong with it. I think it sounds kind of fun to me. If yall both agree on it, then don't worry what anyone else says. I had never thought about it, but I may have to bring that up to my bf. Great idea, thanks. Good luck and congrats.

i never really heard of anyone marrying on this specific date, but i guess it could be a cute idea. to top off the "theme" maybe at the reception you should plan a fake surprise announcement to your guests. i dunno like maybe that you are already pregnant with triplets or something. have fun and good luck.

I wouldn't do it. Everyone will think your entire marriage is one big joke.
