could be the start of a bladder infection. You need to call your doc. asap and have them check. Pregnant women are more likely to get a UTI. Hope that everything works out for you and congrats on your pregnancy!

I'm pregnant too and I have these sharp shooting pains when I stretch or sneeze or stand up(change positions). Anyways they're probably just round ligament pains.BAsically youre uterus is growing and stretching the ligaments especially now that your baby has picked up steam in the second tri-mester. I say good for you for not taking those pain pills, somethimes medicating and ignoring the problem isn't the best idea, espacially when your not the only one being affected. Follow your intuition, if you think that these pains could be something more than what the doctors saying , Get a seond opinion.

Really don't know to be honest, I don't think this is normal, I never had it, the baby is still small so you shouldn't have a strain on your abdomen as yet. Glad you didn't take the tablets, those would only mask up the problem, not deal with the root of the problem. Change your GP and get a 2nd opinion.

I had those exact pains with my last child. The doctor checked it out and that was it. She told me as long as there is no bleeding present not to worry about it. When you bleed that is the first sign of something wrong. So take it from me, no blood no problem. Just keep an eye on it and if it gets worse, go back in. Mine ended up being small contractions. And i had them throughout my whole pregnancy. Like labour isn't long enough. But anyways, from my experience it's just your body preparing.

First of all have you went to your doctor and told them? And is it your first baby? If you have went to doctor and they aren't to worried about it then you shouldn't either. If this is your first baby then it could just be normal pregnancy feelings and trust me there were plenty of times with my first one that I just thought that I was going to die and everyone kept saying it's just being pregnant, well after awhile you get used to it. All I can say is talk to your doctor and follow any instructions they give you and if they aren't concerned then all I can say is Good Luck and it will be over before you know it.

This is all part of your body growing for the baby. Unfortantaly this is all part of pregnancy that your friends don't tell you about. I would say you are fine. If it gets really bad then I would worry, but once in awhile it will happen. I wish you luck.

Is this your first child? If so I would lean towards it being just normal stretching. Either way it needs mentioned to your OB though, as they will be able to determine more accurately what may be going on.

ive heard about similar pains my friend had them and they told her it was her pubic bone softening which can cause pain like that but I am no expert and I would ask your midwife. I wouldnt worry its labour or anything because its been happening for three weeks now and obviously your still pregnant. good luck.
