Can you talk about this with your mom? How late are you? Stress can affect your period, it might be late because you are stressing about it being late. Any changes? Going on or off the pill? That can affect your schedule. If you can, you should talk to your mom. If your period gets to be way late, you might want to consider visiting your doctor or your local planned parenthood. Hope that helps. Take care.

I think I know what you are speaking of. My Ex Wife went over a year without having a period (however still experienced bloating and cramping) This was due to extreme fluctuations in her weight. If you are dieting and then gaining weight back quickly it can mess with your hormones and cause this.

Best thing to do is to see a doctor as this could also be a symptom of other more severe causes. This could be an early symptom of cervical or ovarian cancer which can attack women at ANY age. (I met a 22 yr old who had ovarian cancer at 14 a couple years back, the sister of a friend of mine) So it is best to visit the doctor and let them run a few tests to rule out the worst case scenario.

it sounds like you may be ovulating. Are you periods constantly irregular or absent? If so, you might want to go to a dr. to make sure there isnt another problem like polycystic ovarian syndrome. some symptoms are irregular periods or no period at all, abnormal hair growth, dark skin pigmentation in the groin and armpit areas, weight gain or loss, depression. etc.

This happened to me only once. I was 17 years old. My grandma had just passed away. We were very close. Had to travel to get to her funeral and miss out on school. Came home, then had make up on school projects, etc. I missed my period. Went to the Dr. and learned form him that stress can do this to a woman. He gave me some mild tranquilizers. I settled down and all was well from then on. It never happened to me again.
