Ima: November 2nd is probably what you are referring to. Its a Christian holiday and it is called "All Soulds Day" (ref. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Souls_Day). Its a commemoration of all the departed. November 1st is "All Saints Day" commemorating all the Saints in Christian tradition.
