When I used one I did this a few times. It not hard, but, can be messy. I have heard of clogging, I never had that problem. Now with Scanners and all, I have not used an Ink Jet in 8 years. I have an old Dot Matrix I use for letters and research papers, got it about 12 years ago and it still using the original ribbon. I did buy 2 extra ribbons as I assume one day will not be able to get them. But, for black/white, it very cheap to operate.

yes, it is hell to use. Bring your empty cartridge to a ink store and have them fill them for you. Beats cleaning the mess you will make with one of those ink injector things.

in the business for 15+ years. there is NO SAFE way to do it. Your printer NEEDS your EXACT ink it was made for. they either make a mess or not print as good or void your warranty... none of which is beneficial to you. it stinks but like i said your printer NEEDS the exact ink that it was designed for.

I recommend not doing it. It is really bad and clogs your printer. Also do not buy cheap ink for ebay that also clogs your printer. I have had it happen.
